About

Built by a golf nerd,
for golf nerds.

Golf Nerd Leagues started as a frustration with a spreadsheet. It grew into the easiest way to play fantasy golf with your friends — Pick, Draft, Season, and One & Done.

Why this exists

I’ve run my friends’ fantasy golf league for ten years. I’m an avid follower of the pro game — I watch every tournament, listen to too many podcasts, and travel to play. Golf is what I do when I’m not working, and often what I’m thinking about when I am.

For a decade, I scored that league on a spreadsheet. Some years I was on top of it. Most years I wasn’t. “Sheet update?” would hit hard — I felt like I was letting my friends down for what should have been a simple task.

I joked about building this site for years and never thought I’d actually do it. Well, here we are — four products launched and a fifth on the way. A place to test your golf knowledge against your friends, with two systems built in (GNL Handicap and GNerds) to prove you’re a True Golf Nerd. Betting and DFS can be draining. This is meant to be simple, easy, and fun.

What this is

Golf Nerd Leagues is a service. You and your friends play the league — we run the platform. The draft, the scores, the standings, the stats, the GNL Handicap, and the GNerds.

Four formats, because there’s no one right way to play fantasy golf. Pick and Draft are the games — free, weekly, no entry fee, just a quick way to test your read on the field and climb the Golf Nerd tiers. Season and One & Done are the leagues — Season for the long-haul bragging rights, OAD for the strategy heads who want to manage a year’s worth of single-pick decisions.

Public leagues for when you want to play this week without assembling friends. Private leagues for the existing group you already trash-talk on.

Where we’re headed

The point of a fantasy league isn’t the spreadsheet. It’s the group chat. It’s the Sunday afternoon text when your guy makes a 30-footer. It’s reminding your buddy in October that you took him to the woodshed in April. I’m building the platform that makes all of that easier — the trash talk, the bragging rights, the Monday-morning smugness.

The bar I’m chasing is simple: the best and most fun place on the internet to play fantasy golf. If this product makes you laugh at your group chat once a week and roll your eyes at your buddy’s pick twice, it’s working.
