What is Pick?
Pick is the free, weekly entry point to GNL. Every PGA Tour week you pick one golfer in the field. Their finish position turns into GNerds you can climb the True Golf Nerd Leaderboard with. No draft, no roster, no commissioner — just a single click and you’re in.
How it works
- Open Pick before first tee time. Picks lock when the first golfer in the field tees off Thursday morning (typically 7–8 AM ET). After lock you can’t change.
- Choose one golfer. Sort the field by OWGR, DG rank, recent form — whatever you trust. Tap Pick.
- Yields land Monday morning. When scoring runs, your golfer’s finish converts to GNerds: cut, top-25, top-10, top-5, or win bands. Tier multipliers apply.
- You can pick the same golfer every week. Pick has no “burn” rule like One & Done. If Scheffler is your guy, he’s your guy.
FAQ
Is Pick really free?
Yes. Every week. No subscription required to make a Pick. The leaderboard you’re climbing is shared with paid products too.
What happens if my golfer misses the cut?
You earn 0 GNerds for the week, but no penalty. Pick again next tournament. The handicap engine accounts for it across your last 20 entries.
Can I change my Pick after I submit?
Yes — until first tee time Thursday. After that, your Pick is locked.
What if my golfer withdraws?
A WD before first tee time → swap to anyone still in the field. A WD after first tee time → you’re stuck with them and earn 0. Pick is a single-shot product; pay attention to the WD list Wednesday night.
How are GNerds earned?
Five yield bands based on finish position: made cut, top-25, top-10, top-5, win. Each band has a base GNerds value, multiplied by your tier (Free 1×, Sub 2×, Premium 3×). The full breakdown lives on the handicap page.
