Lanny Letdown at TPC Craig Ranch but the Show Goes On at GNL
Golf Nerds,
I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Pretty much every PGA Tour golfer did at TPC Craig Ranch — eagles and birdies were abundant at Lanny Wadkins’ new renovation, and it’s fair to say the course didn’t present much of a challenge to the world’s best. Wyndham Clark fired a final-round 60 to win by 3 shots over Si Woo Kim.
Site redesign is live
Here at GNL, I completed a site redesign. “Today” is your new default page on sign-in, with daily activities (GNL Trivia and GNL H2H) and weekly activities (GNL Pick, Golf Nerd Nuggets — my thoughts, Golf Nerd Knowledge — a weekly fun fact, and Content of the Week). The idea is to create a central golf hub for some low-effort picks and low-stakes trivia, while still hosting your various fantasy leagues. We’ll see how this lands!
GNL Trivia and GNL H2H pay out GNerds to create a daily touchpoint — it won’t be for everyone, but it gives the players who enjoy trivia or H2H picking a reason to show up every day. A lot of you have expressed confusion between Pick and One & Done, so I’ve worked to clearly separate them on the platform. And I’ve always thought golf media and commentators are a huge part of the watching experience — so I’m now highlighting my favorites from the prior week. Hopefully some good stuff that’s either informative or worth a chuckle.
